TVS Motor expands iQube e-scooter range with new variants in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: TVS Motor Company has launched a new variant of its electric scooter, the TVS iQube, featuring a 2.2 kWh battery.TVS also begins deliveries of the TVS iQube ST, available with 3.4 kWh and 5.1 kWh battery packs, the largest in its segment. The expanded TVS iQube lineup now includes five variants in 11 colours, solidifying its position as a leading electric vehicle (EV) option.

The new 2.2 kWh variant starts at an introductory price of Rs 94,999 in Bengaluru, making EVs more affordable and lowering ownership costs.Speaking to reporters, TVS Motor Senior Vice President (EV Business) Manu Saxena said the TVS iQube is gaining popularity in sub-continental countries such as Nepal and Sri Lanka, as well as other regions.

"We have taken this product to other countries. We showcased the iQube in France. Already there are some markets where iQube is in demand in sub-continental countries like Nepal, Sri Lanka, and adjoining countries," he said.Domestically, the iQube has also seen significant market penetration in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh, he said.

"We are excited to launch the fastest charging 2.2 kWh variant and an additional TVS iQube ST variant. The TVS iQube series, now with three battery options, offers the best range and price combinations. Deliveries across Bengaluru will begin immediately. TVSM remains committed to providing a superior electric mobility experience," Saxena said, expressing enthusiasm for the new offerings.

The TVS iQube series is built on three principles: offering the Power of Choice in range, technology, charging solutions, and price; providing Complete Assurance through vehicle safety and ownership experience; and ensuring Simplicity of Usage with user-friendly features.

In Karnataka, TVS iQube riders have collectively travelled over 380 million kilometers, reducing carbon emissions by over 13,000 tonnes, and highlighting the region's adoption of electric mobility.This launch aims to cater to a broad spectrum of customers, offering an ideal start to their EV journey with the reliability and variety promised by the TVS iQube range, Saxena said.(UNI)<>
