Actor Aamir Khan recently made headlines for praising Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’ wherein he asked every Indian to must-watch the film that is based on the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits in the 1990s.
However, now netizens found an old video of the 57-year-old actor wherein he is heard calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi (then Chief Minister of Gujarat) a ‘mass murderer’ for 2002 Gujarat riots. Once the old video made its way to Twitter, Aamir Khan started to trend on Twitter along with #BoycottLaalSingh Chaddha.
Several users said that the ‘PK’ actor is praising ‘The Kashmir Files’ as his film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is gearing up for release. The netizens also brought back his ‘intolerance’ controversy regarding his (now ex) wife Kiran Rao.
However, a section of internet has also recalled that this is not the first time that he spoke in favour of Kashmiri Pandits. Some internet users shared another clipping of an old interview of Aamir Khan wherein he is speaking in favour of Kashmiri Pandits.
