Telangana High Court on Friday granted interim bail to the Telugu actor Allu Arjun in connection with the death of a woman during a stampede at 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' premiere at Sandhya Theatre  in Hyderabad on December 4.

Earlier in the day, he was arrested by the Chikkadpally police and produced in the Nampally court which sent to a 14-day judicial custody.

In addition to Allu Arjun, the police also apprehended three others connected to the incident--M. Sandeep, one of the owners of Sandhya Theatre, senior manager M. Nagaraju, and Gandhakam Vijay Chander, who oversaw the theatre's lower balcony--arresting them for their alleged roles in the stampede.

The husband of the deceased woman has now said that he is willing to withdraw the case and he does not hold Allu Arjuthe Pushpa 2 actor responsible for the stampede or his wife's death.

Speaking with reporters hours after Allu Arjun's arrest in Hyderabad on Friday, Bhaskar, the husband of Revathi, said, "We only went to Sandhya Theatre that day because my son wanted to watch the movie. It's not Allu Arjun's fault that he visited the theatre that day. I am ready to withdraw my case. Police didn't inform me of his arrest, I watched it on the news at the hospital. He (Arjun) has nothing to do with stampede.
