India ended their 17-year title drought in the T20 World Cup by defeating South Africa. Following their historic win, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and other members of the Indian squad couldn’t hold back tears. Watching them cry, actress Anushka Sharma revealed her daughter Vamika’s biggest concern.
In a congratulatory message on Instagram, Anushka mentioned Vamika wondered if the men in blue had someone to hug while they broke down.
Sharing pictures from the emotional celebration, she wrote, “Our daughter’s biggest concern was if all the players had someone to hug them after she saw them cry on tv….. Yes, My darling, they were hugged by 1.5 billion people What a phenomenal victory and what a legendary achievement!! CHAMPIONS – CONGRATULATIONS!!”
In another post, Anushka Sharma shared a photo of Virat Kohli and expressed her love for the cricketer. She wrote, “AND ….. I love this man @virat.kohli . So grateful to call you my home – now go have a glass of sparkling water for me to celebrate this !.”
After incredible trophy win, Virat was seen talking to his kids, daughter Vamika and son Akaay, and his wife Anushka. In a video gone viral, an emotional Virat was on a video call with his family. He was seen making faces to cheer his kids.
