Well-known Bollywood actress Hema Malini turned 75 on Monday.
Born on October 16, 1948, in Amankundi, Tamil Nadu, Hema Malini's mother, Jaya Chakraborty, was a film producer.
Hema completed her primary education in Chennai. In 1961, Hema Malini got the opportunity to work as a dancer in a short play, Pandav Vanavasam.
In 1968, Hema Malini first got the opportunity to work with Raj Kapoor in Sapno Ka Saudagar.
During the promotion of the film, Hema Malini was promoted as a dream girl.
Unfortunately, the film failed at the box office, but Hema Malini was liked by the audience as an actress.
Hema Malini got her first success with the film Johnny Mera Naam, released in 1970.
In this, actor Devanand was in the lead role with her.
The pairing of Hema and Dev Anand in the film was appreciated by the audience, and the film was a superhit.
After this, Hema Malini mesmerized the audience with her acting in Ramesh Sippy's film Andaz, released in 1971.
In the year 1972, Hema Malini got the opportunity to work in Ramesh Sippy's film Sita Aur Geeta, which proved to be a milestone in her cine career.
After the success of this film, she reached the heights of fame.
She was also honored with the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her strong acting in this film.
