Mumbai: A below par opening has been registered by Dabangg 3 at the box office. Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer raked up 24.5 crore on Friday. However, considering the past opening of Salman Khan films this will be considered below expectation. Clearly the nationwide protest has taken a toll on the opening.
Salman Khan will be seen teaming up with director Prabhu Dheva for 'Dabangg 3' after 'Wanted'.'Dabangg 3' is produced by Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan under their respective banners of Salman Khan Films and Arbaaz Khan Productions.
The film is a sequel to the 2012 film 'Dabangg 2' and the third installment of 'Dabangg' film series. It is written by Salman Khan. The story is set in the State of Uttar Pradesh. The film features Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan reprising their roles from the previous film, while Sudeep plays the antagonist. (UNI)
