Mumbai: Bollywood diva Karisma Kapoor said that there was no restriction on women from Kapoor family to choose acting as career option.
She revealed this on comedy king Zakir Khan’s show "Aapka Apna Zakir” .
Recently, all judges of Sony television’s India's Best Dancer 4', including Karishma, made a guest appearance on the show.
During the show, Zakir asked Karisma if there was a restriction on women working in the Kapoor family? Were you allowed to pursue acting career?
To this Karisma revealed, "When my mother and Neetu aunty tied the knot it was their choice to settle down, to have children, it was completely their decision."
The Diva further added, Shammi and Shashi Uncle’s wives, Geeta Ji and Jennifer Aunty, worked even after marriage. So there is no rule that one cannot work after marriage in Kapoor family or Kapoor family girls are not allowed to pursue the career of their choice.
She further said that she has a passion for acting so she opted to pursue a career in acting. Kareena and Ranbir did the same because of their passion and interest. However, Riddhima, Ranbir's sister, did not opted for acting career as she was not interested in it.
Karisma emphasised that no one from family was ever stopped from working.
