Melody queen and Bharat Ratna recipient Lata Mangeshkar turns 91

Kolkata: The queen of melody and Bharat Ratna recipient Lata Mangeshkar, whose matchless voice has entertained generations, turned 91 on Monday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Union Ministers, Chief Ministers, Ministers and several B-town celebrities took to micro-blogging platform Twitter to wish her on the special day.Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted melody queen Lata Mangeshkar on her birthday.
 
In a tweet, Mr Modi said, 'Spoke to respected Lata Didi and conveyed birthday greetings to her. Praying for her long and healthy life. Lata Didi is a household name across the nation. I consider myself fortunate to have always received her affection and blessings.'
 
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also wished Lata Mangeshkar. He said the singer has established the highest traditions and values of music and that she has filled the world with sweetness with her sweet voice.
 
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted, “Wishing you a very happy birthday, @mangeshkarlataji. I pray for your long and healthy life.”
 
Union Minister for Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri in a tweet said, “Heartiest felicitations to the legendary Queen of Melody, Bharat Ratna @mangeshkarlata Ji on her birthday.”
 
“May she continue to enthral legions of her fans across the world for many more years to come.
May God grant her good health & long life. Wishing her a very happy birthday!” he added.
 
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in his tweet said, “Birthday greetings and best wishes to the legendary singer Bharat Ratna #LataMangeshkar ji. May she be blessed with happiness, good health & a long life. @mangeshkarlata
 
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in a tweet said, “ the Chief Minister said,'Happy birthday to the legendary singer, Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar ji.
