Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra recently opened up about her decision to step out of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film "Animal".Speaking candidly on Rajat Sharma’s Aap Ki Adalat, Parineeti revealed why she chose Imtiaz Ali’s "Chamkila" over the blockbuster, a decision that eventually shaped both her career and personal life.

In the episode, Parineeti Chopra revealed that she was initially offered Rashmika Mandanna’s role in Animal, which stars Ranbir Kapoor. However, scheduling conflicts led her to make a choice. She said, “I had to choose between the two films, and I chose Chamkila because I was already in love with the story. Little did I know that this film would also bring a love story of my own”, according to a report by Bollywood Hungama.

While shooting for "Chamkila", Parineeti crossed paths with Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha, who is now her husband. Sharing their love story, she revealed that their first meeting was at an awards event in London, facilitated by her brother Shivang, who admired Raghav.

As for Parineeti’s career trajectory, she debuted in 2011 with "Ladies vs Ricky Bahl". Later, she quickly gained recognition for her performances in "Ishaqzaade", "Shuddh Desi Romance", and "Hasee Toh Phasee". After a few box office setbacks, she delivered critically acclaimed performances in "Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar" and "Saina". However, her portrayal in Amar Singh Chamkila is now hailed as one of her finest performances.Meanwhile, "Animal" has generated a massive buzz for its gritty narrative, but Parineeti stands by her decision.(UNI)<>
