This biopic on former Prime Minister Dr Singh is based on a book by the former PMO media advisor Sanjaya Baru by the same name.

It has alleged that the movie is a BJP ‘ploy’ to lampoon UPA era of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh by painting his character in a bad light through manipulation and distortion of facts.
