Kendrapara: Odia film “Priye Tu mo Siye'' released recently in Odisha has been dragged into a controversy following an FIR filed against it by the Bharat Ekta Mission (Bhim Army) of Kendrapara district unit.
The FIR was lodged in Town Police station on Sunday against the film’s Director Sudhanshu Mohan Sahoo, producer Jhilik Bhattacharjee and story writer Shaanabinda Ojha for using unparliamentarily and defamatory words against the Scheduled caste in the film.
Bhim Army Kendrapara district unit President Nagendra Jena, lodged the complaint alleging that derogatory words were used to address scheduled caste people in violation of Indian Constitution.
Jena demanded stern action against the director ,producer and the story writer of the film stating that the film had hurt the sentiments of scheduled caste people.
The Odia film was released last week in the state.
When contacted Kendrapada Town police station IIC Tapan Nayak said the complaint has been received and the matter is under investigation. (UNI)
