Chennai: Actor Rajinikanth has 100 special plans for the people of Tamil Nadu, said his wife Latha Rajinikanth, while participating in an event organised by Dayaa Foundation - Care for Children, run by her. "I am unsure of when Rajinikanth will make the big announcement," she said here on Tuesday. Latha said, "It’s his decision and we will accept and respect whatever he decides." She also asserted that they were also waiting for her husband’s official word on his political calling. ‘But if he enters politics, he will only do good for the people." In May this year, during his meeting with his fans, Rajini had urged them to ‘prepare for war’, possibly implying that he may join politics. He had said, "When a war comes, they will come to the rescue of their motherland.

I have a profession, work, duty and so do you. Go to your places, do your duty, take care of your vocation. Let us face the war when it comes." Adding fuel to this, the words of Latha on Tuesday created a buzz on social media and among his fans. The famed actor had also said even though he had no particular intention of getting into politics, he would consider taking the path if that was ‘God’s will’. He claimed that if he did enter politics, he would be truthful and not have people who merely want to make money. Speaking about Dayaa Foundation, Latha said, "Street children may soon get birth certificates and Aadhaar cards as the Union Ministry for Women and Child Development is planning to start an initiative regarding this." She also elaborated on Project Abhayam of her foundation. "We have sought to create a citizen’s platform in the form of a mass movement to fight for the freedom of children.

Whether it is strife, war or peril, the victims are always children. The need of the hour is to have them protected and looked after with love and care. They have our support. Let no child be snatched away by the cruel hands of society." Latha also made a few recommendations to the government. It included making available tracking devices, listing of all children living on platforms and in shelter homes, installing CCTV cameras at busy junctions / zones, stepping up night patrolling, and setting up of a special police wing to handle cases related to children.
