Rana Daggubati joins Hyderabad FC as Co-owner

Hyderabad:The Hyderabad Football Club (HFC), which is making its debut in the sixth season of the Indian Super League (ISL), has found a new stakeholder in the popular actor, businessman and sports enthusiast, Rana Daggubati; along with Varun Tripuraneni and Vijay Madduri.
Not only a sports enthusiast but also the brand ambassador for a premier Kabbadi league, Rana is chuffed to be part of the history in the making, HFC said in a statement here on Thursday.
 
"Hyderabad has a great legacy with the sport. This team, therefore, is a chance to rekindle that legacy," Rana said.
 
Elaborating on the team, he said  "I am confidently counting on Kamaljit and his team to make a mark in our very maiden season. The team proved its mettle in the preliminary camps in Chennai and Goa. HFC aced all of the seven friendly matches, remaining undefeated.
 
Varun Tripuraneni, co-owner of HFC and who has been the COO of Chennai in FC and CEO of Kerala Blasters FC in the past, is elated with the club associated with the star.
 
The tournament that kick-started on Oct 20, 2019, will go on until March 2020.Each team will play a minimum of 18 matches, in the run-up for the coveted ISL trophy.(UNI)
