Salman opposes ban on Pak artistes; says ‘they are not terrorists’

Mumbai: Appreciating the Indian Army’s effort in neutralizing the terror elements across the Line of Control, Bollywood actor Salman Khan today said they were terrorists and the Army has conducted a proper action but at the same time he opposed the temporary banning of Pakistani artistes. When being asked about Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA)'s ban on all the Pakistani artistes, Salman said, “They are artists and not terrorists.

It’s the government who gives them Visa and allows work permits in the country.” He was speaking at a press conference held at an event here. The IMPPA took decision hours after the Indian Army launched surgical strikes across the LoC on the intervening night of September 28 and September 29. The association had passed a resolution banning Pakistani actors and technicians in India till the return of normalcy.
