Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta are all set to make a come back together after two long decades with their iconic film Veer Zaara, the romantic drama directed by Yash Chopra, set to be re-released in theatres on September 13.
The 2004 romantic drama was a superhit at the box office.
In the film, King Khan portrays the role of an Indian Air Force officer Veer who falls in love with Zaara, (Preity Zinta), daughter of a Pakistani politician. The romantic tale of two couples separated by border reaches its conclusion after 22 years with the efforts of a woman Pakistani lawyer, portrayed by Rani Mukherjee.
The film’s supporting cast included Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Divya Dutta, Manoj Bajpayee, Boman Irani, Kirron Kher and Anupam Kher.
Millions of people are crazy about the movie and it’s immensely popular songs, "Do Pal Ruka” and “Tere Liye” are still in the list of all-time favorite songs.
Aditya Chopra produced this romantic drama with the total budget of Rs 23 crores. The film in 2004 was declared a super hit at the Indian box office with total earning of Rs 41.86 crores and worldwide collection was Rs 97.64 crores.
