Dubai: Traces of alcohol have been found in film actor Sridevi’s body, according to the Dubai Police.The police said initial investigation showed alcohol in the body and this may have led to the accident.Sridevi died of drowning following loss of consciousness in the bathtub of her hotel room on Saturday night.“The investigation is still going on to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident as the forensic report only says that she drowned,” an official told Gulf News.
The police are trying to piece together the sequence of events and find out who was with her when the incident happened.Gulf News said sources have told the newspaper that Dubai Police had released the forensic report on Sridevi's death to her family and the Indian Consulate representative.The case has been transferred to the Public Prosecution to carry out the usual legal procedures.
