Tanhaji had a double figure start while Chhapaak has a lukewarm opening

Mumbai: The visual extravaganza, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is all set to narrate the saga of one of the greatest warriors India has seen.Starring Ajay Devgn, Kajol and Saif Ali Khan, the trailer of the film garnered a lot of appreciation getting the audiences excited to watch this brave saga.

Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior which is also the 100th movie of the actor produced by Ajay Devgn’s ADF and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series is directed by Om Raut.The magnum opus had a formiddable start at the box office raking up 15.10 crore. The movie is set to accelarate in the coming weekend. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh fetched up the rest of  the details.

While if talk about "Chhapaak" which is Directed by Meghna Gulzar, produced by Fox Star Studios, Deepika Padukone's KA Production, Meghna Gulzar & Govind Singh Sandhu's Mriga Films, written by Atika Chohan and Meghna Gulzar, Chhapaak and hit the theatres this friday, the movie had a lukewarm start at the box office. 

The film collected a megre amount of 4.77 crore which doesn't reciprocate the stardom of Deepika Padukone.Vouching for the human spirit, Deepika embarks on the journey of Malti in 'Chhapaak'. The actress not only stars in the film but also marks her first venture as a producer. It is reported to be the lowest opener of Deepika Padukone in past 9 years. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shed light on the movie's performance. (WD)
