These movies to re-release on big screen from 15th October

New Delhi:As cinema halls across the country get set to reopen on October 15 after a more than six months gap, several films that that have been released on the digital platform will be released on many cinema halls.
Films like the Ajay Devgn starter 'Tanhaji, Tapsee Pannu starter 'Thappad'  the Hrithik Roshan starter 'War' and the Sushant Singh Rajput starter 'Kedarnath ' will be re released in cinema halls when they reopen for film screening.
 
While many multiplex chains like PVR, Carnival, Cinepolis and INOX are not keen on releasing films that opted the OTT route during this lockdown, several other multiplexes chains are keen to release these films. 
 
Trade analysts say that many multiplex chains seem interested in re release of films released  in the last half of past year and early half of thus year.
 
According to trade analyst Girish Johar,''Mpxs say NO TO OTT releases ... Post #Unlock5 Tanhaji , Thappad , Malang, Kedarnath, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, War among others to re-release in cinemas.''
 
However,  films like the Sanjay Dutt Alia Bhatt starter 'Sadak 2', Vidya balan starter 'Shakuntala Devi', the Jhanvi Kapoor starter 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl', 'Dil Bechara' and 'Gulabo SItabo' will not be released on the big screen. 
 
While cinema halls in many  states will re-open on Thursday ,in  states like Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Odisha, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and  in the north-east , cinema hall will continue to remain shut.  
 
 As per the Unlock 5 guidelines by the Home Ministry, cinema halls can operate at 50 percent capacity starting on Thursday. The MHA released the new set of guidelines, and a standard operating procedure (SOP) will also be issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for the same.(UNI)
