Hyderabad: The last rites of veteran tollywood actor and former Union Minister Uppalapati Venkata Krishnam Raju, who died in the early hours of Sunday, would be performed at his farm house in Kanakamamidi village on the outskirts of the city with full 'state honours' on Monday.
His mortal remains was shifted to his Jubilee Hills residence here from AIG hospitals, where he breathed his last, and it will be kept till this afternoon to enable his fans to pay their last respects.
Later the body of Krishnam Raju will be taken to the farm house where the last rites will be held at 1 pm.
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao directed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to make arrangements for Raju's cremation with state honours.
Krishnam Raju, popularly known as Rebel Star passed away at the age of 82.
Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Mega star and former Union Minister K Chiranjeevi, Veteran actors G Krishna, Murali Mohan and Mohan Babu, Junior N T Rama Rao, Mahesh Babu, Directors Trivikram, K Raghavendra Rao and others paid tributes to the former Union Minister.
They consoled Raju's family members including his nephew actor Prabhas.
Leaders of various political parties, including Union Minister G Kishan Reddy visited the veteran actor's house and paid their last respects. (UNI)
