Vijay Varma has much to look forward to in 2022

After his breakout performance in the 2019 film Gully Boy, Vijay Varma went on to impress audiences with web series' like A Suitable Boy, She and Mirzapur 2 amongmany others. The actor also stood out from the crowd with his stellar performance in Ok Computer where he essayed the role of a cyber-cell officer, Sajjan Kundu, an “angry young geek” in Anand Gandhi’s sci-fi satire, last year.

Having spent 2021 shooting across Rajasthan, Benaras and Mumbai, Vijay Varma has much to look forward to in 2022, with an interesting line-up of work that is sure to make an impact.

Looking forward to bringing strong content to audiences in 2022, says Vijay Varma, “It’s a great phase in my career and I’m so thrilled to enter this year with such amazing projects. I’ve spent most of last year filming in  different places and I look forward to the fruition of that effort. These projects have truly pushed me as an actor and challenged me… so each of these is extremely special to me. The variety of roles has given me something to bite into something different for all the characters, they are stories that deserve to be told and I’m confident that the audiences will enjoy them as much as I enjoyed working on them.”

First up is Excel Entertainment’s mini series, Fallen, directed by Reema Kagti. Vijay then reunites with his Gully Boy co-star Alia Bhatt for Darlings, by Red Chillies. The two have been cast opposite each other in this comedy-drama.

The actor has also completed filming Hurdang, starring alongside Sunny Kaushal and Nushrratt Bharuccha. Lastly, he has Sumit Saxena’s untitled project by Viacom 18, in the pipeline.
