"We lose when I do:" Amitabh Bachchan did not watch India's T20 World Cup Final against South Africa

Mumbai: Soon after India clinched the T20 World Cup 2024 title, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday took to his blog on Tumblr to fete the team and disclosed that he refrained from watching the final against South Africa as "we lose when I do".

In his post, Bachchan wrote, "WORLD CHAMPIONS… INDIA!!! T20 WORLD CUP .. 2024.. The excitement and emotions and the apprehension .. ALL DONE and over .. the TV was not seen .. we lose when I do ..! Nothing more enters the cerebrum .. just the tears in tune with the tears of the TEAM!"

Bachchan also expressed his joy on X (formerly Twitter). He tweeted, “Tears flowing down .. in unison with those that TEAM INDIA sheds .. WORLD CHAMPIONS INDIA. Bharat mata ki jai. Jai Hind. Jai Hind. Jai Hind.”

The veteran actor’s son, Abhishek Bachchan, shared his exuberance after the game, tweeting, “INDIAAAAAAAA!!!! Come onnnnn!!!! Champions.”
