COVID-19: India logs 2,85,914 new cases, 665 deaths in last 24 hrs

New Delhi: India recorded 2,85,914 new Covid cases and 665 related deaths, the Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,00,85,116, while the death toll rose to 4,91,127.

On a positive note, 2,99,073 more people recovered from the disease during the same period, taking the total tally to 3,73,70,971.

The recovery rate currently stands at 93.23 per cent. The active caseload now stands at 22,23,018, the figures showed.

As per the bulletin, 72.05 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 163.58 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
