India witnesses slight decline in daily Covid-19 cases, logs 3,714 fresh infections in last 24 hrs

New Delhi: India has recorded 3,714 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally of cases to 4,31,85,049, as per the Union Health Ministry data on Tuesday. 

Total seven fresh fatalities were recorded, taking the total death count to 52,4708.

The active caseload currently stands at 25,782, which now comprise 0.06 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.72 per cent.

Meanwhile 2,513 recoveries were reported, increasing the total recoveries to 4,26,33,365

According to the bulletin, 85.32 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 3,07,716 tests have been conducted.

"India has administered 194.27 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive," the Ministry data said. (UNI)
