Maharashtra logs 4,004 Covid cases in last 24 hrs

Aurangabad/Mumbai: During the past 24 hours 4,004 fresh positive of Covid-19 case and single virus related death was reported across in the state , according to health bulletin on Monday.

With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 79,35,749 and the death toll goes up to 1,47,886.

Meanwhile, 3085 cured patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 77,64,117.

The state's recovery rate significantly came down to 97.84 per cent and fatality rate 1.86 per cent.

So far ,8,16,03,506 samples were tested across the state of them total 79,35,749 found as positive i e.9.72 percent.

Presently, 23,746 active patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals, the bulletin added.

Meanwhile, 16 positive patients were reported including 7 in Aurangabad, 5 positive patients in Osmanabad district,2 patients in Nanded district and one each in Jalna and Beed districts while no one patient was reported in the rest of 3 districts of Marathwada region of state ,the bulletin further added.
