Maharashtra reports 3,957 Covid cases, 7 deaths in 24 hrs

Aurangabad/Mumbai: Maharashtra has reported 3,957 fresh Covid-19 cases and 7 related deaths, according to health bulletin on Thursday.

With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 79,72,484and the death toll has gone up to 1,47,922.

Meanwhile, 3696 patients were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking the overall count of recoveries to 77,98,817.

The state's recovery rate significantly came down to 97.82 per cent and the fatality rate to 1.85 per cent.

So far a total of 8,19,59,289 samples have been tested in the state and out of them 79,72,474 tested positive for Covid i.e. 9.73 percent.

Presently, 25,735 Covid patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals across the state, the bulletin added.

Meanwhile, in Marathwada region 108 Covid cases were reported, including 42 cases in Aurangabad district followed by 18 each in Nanded and Osmanabad districts, 14 each in Latur and Jalna districts and 2 in Beed district, the bulletin further added. (UNI)
