US election results : Biden in a touching distance but not all over for Trump

Donald Trump and Joe Biden have each secured several US states in a tense election battle. Key states such as Florida and Pennsylvania have yet to be called. Follow the latest with DW.Biden is in a touching distance with 232 electoral votes while it is all not over for Donald Trump with 210 electoral votes .

Trump has won Florida, Ohio, Kentucky, Kansas, Louisiana, Indiana, Wyoming, West Virginia, South Carolina, Idaho, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Arkansas, South Dakota, North Dakota, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa and Montana.
 
Joe Biden has sealed Hawaii, Minnesota, Colorado, New Mexico, California, New Hampshire, Oregon, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, Illinois, Delaware and Connecticut, as well as the District of Columbia.

However, the Democratic candidate is still in the race, with his aides hoping for wins in other key states such as Michigan and Pennsylvania.
