The city and surrounding temples were also illuminated on this occasion.

Bhajan and Kirtan, along with other religious programs, have also been organised.

People observed a whole-day fast on this day. Dindis, or warkari processions, begin at early hours in temples, chanting 'D'Mauli Dhynobha Tukaram', 'Vitthal Vitthal Vitthala, Panduranga Vitthala ', and 'Pandorinath Maharaj Ki Jay' from various parts of the city, including Cidco, Hudco, Mukundwadi, and Chiklathana areas.

Farmers in the region went for the Darshan and prayed to Lord Vitthala for good rain due to the lack of significant rainfall this year.

The police department has implemented security measures around the temple and diverted traffic until tonight to avoid congestion on the Chatrapati Sambhajinagar-Pune road.

Reports from other regions indicate that Ashadi Ekadasi is celebrating with enthusiasm and gaiety.
