Beijing: A Chinese court executed a man in southwestern Sichuan province in a 2020 domestic violence case that had sparked national outrage.
Global Times quoted Intermediate People's Court of the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture as stating that Tang Lu has been executed according to the order of the Supreme People's Court.
Tang and Lamu had married in 2009 and they got divorced in 2020. During their marriage, the husband had beaten Lamu several times.
On September 14, 2020, Tang went to the home of Lamu's father and sprayed gasoline on Lamu, who was livestreaming in the kitchen, and set her on fire, Global Times reported.
