New Delhi: Teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg and pop star Rihanna have extended their support to farmers who have been protesting at the Delhi's borders since November 26,seeking the repeal of three Farm Laws enacted by the Centre last year.
Sharing a news article highlighting the government's action on the protesters by cutting off internet services in many areas, the singer wrote on Twitter: "Why aren't we talking about this?! #FarmersProtest."

Hours after Rihanna's reaction came over the farm protest, Thunberg also took to twitter to extend her support to the agitating farmers."We stand in solidarity with #farmersprotest in India", Thunberg tweeted.Responding to Rihanna's tweet, Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut critisized the singer for her comment on the farm protest, saying the protesters are not the 'farmers'.

"No one is talking about it because they are not farmers they are terrorists who are trying to divide India, so that China can take over our vulnerable broken nation and make it a Chinese colony much like USA...

Sit down you fool, we are not selling our nation like you dummies," Kangana tweeted.
Taking the precautionary measures after the Republic Day violence in Delhi, the internet services at the farmer protest sites at Singhu, Ghazipur and Tikri borders were suspended on Saturday. Subsequently, the suspension was extended till Tuesday.

To maintain the law and order, The Haryana government too had suspended the mobile internet services in 17 districts till 1700 hrs of January 31 and later, extended it to Wednesday evening.(UNI)
