Sukkur (Sindh): A girl and her lover in Pakistan’s Sindh province have been arrested for poisoning her 13 family members to death, media reports said on Monday.
The police said that Shaista loved Amir Bakhsh but her family was not agreeing to their marriage as a result they planned the mass murder on August 19 in Haibat Khan Brohi village near Khairpur, the Dawn reported.
Nine members of the Shaista’s family died soon after consuming poisoned food at home, while four others died during treatment on the following days.
