2024 Lok Sabha polls Phase 2: THESE 13 identification documents can be used for casting vote

Thiruvananthapuram: For the Lok Sabha election on April 26, voters can use the Election Commission's Photo ID card (EPIC) as identification at the polling booth, Chief Electoral Officer Sanjay Kaul said.
 
However, those who do not possess an EPIC card can still vote using any of the other 12 authorized identification documents with photographs specified by the Election Commission.
He emphasized that all voters should proudly use their voting rights as it is a responsibility to participate in nation-building.
 
The alternative identification documents authorized by the Election Commission for voting in place of the voter ID card are Aadhaar card, MGNREGA job card (National Rural Employment Guarantee Act job card), Photo passbooks issued by banks/post offices, Health insurance smart card issued by the Ministry of Labour, Driving license, PAN card, Smart card issued by Registrar General of India under National Population Register, Indian passport, Photo pension document, Photo ID cards issued to employees of Central/State government, public sector undertakings, and public limited companies, Official identification cards issued to Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assemblies, Members of Legislative Councils, Disability identification card (UDID card).
