Telangana: Tension erupts at Muthyalamma temple in Secunderabad after idol vandalism

Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at the Muthyalamma temple in Monda Market, Secunderabad, after the temple's idol was vandalised by unidentified miscreants.
 
Upon learning of the incident, a large number of people gathered at the temple on Monday morning, expressing their anger and distress. In response, police deployed additional forces to maintain order and prevent any escalation.
 
Union Minister for Coal and Mines, and Telangana BJP President, G Kishan Reddy, along with Hyderabad Police Commissioner C V Anand, visited the temple to assess the situation. Kishan Reddy also sought details of the incident from the police officials.
 
Cantonment MLA Narayanan Sri Ganesh also arrived at the scene and spoke with the local community.
 
According to police sources, one person has been taken into custody in connection with the vandalism.
 
Further investigations are underway, the sources added.
