143 passengers in Aircraft had a narrow escape from death

Chennai: About 143 passengers, including five crew members, on board an Air India flight from Delhi, had a providential escape, as the wheels of the aircraft did not open in time while landing at the airport here on Thursday.
When arrangements were made for an emergency landing, the aircraft after hovering in the air for some time, landed safely as the wheels opened this time. Airport sources said the aircraft was to land at the Kamaraj domestic airport at around 0100 hrs.
 
When the pilot was preparing for landing, the wheels of the aircraft failed to open.Following this, he did not make any attempt to land and instead hovered in the air for some time.
