Jalgaon:A BJP corporator and four of his family members were shot dead by unidentified gang at their residence in Jalgaon district on Sunday night. The incident took place at around 2145 hrs, when three gunmen entered the house premises and started firing.
According to police, the deceased were identified as BJP corporator Ravindra Baburao Kharat (50) his elder brother Sunil Babaurao Kharat (55), Ravindra's two sons Sagar Ravindra Kharat, (24) and Rohit alias Sonu Ravindra Kharat (20).BJP corporator Ravindra Kharat is a resident of Samata nagar in Bhusaval city.
Other four persons were serious injured in the incident and were rushed to the hospital nearby.
This is second time that a gang attacked on the Kharat family.Bhusaval police team rushed to the spot and further investigation is on regarding the incident.(UNI)
