Mumbai: Two IndiGo flights departing from Mumbai received bomb threats on Monday before take off, prompting immediate security checks and other measures to rule out danger.
The two flights IndiGo flight 6E 1275, which was scheduled to fly from Mumbai to Muscat, and flight 6E 56, from Mumbai to Jeddah received threats and both aircraft were directed to an isolated bay for thorough security checks.
According to IndiGo spokesperson, who confirmed the incidents, "Following standard operating procedures, mandatory security checks were promptly initiated."
The airline is working closely with security authorities to ensure the safety of all passengers and crew members, said the spokesperson.
Earlier, Air India's Mumbai to New York flight had also received a bomb threat following which it was diverted to Delhi for security checks. (Inputs from UNI)
