AIIMS Delhi reverses its order to shut OPD services on January 22 for Ayodhya Ram Temple consecration

New Delhi: Outpatient services (OPD) will remain open on January 22, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi said on Sunday reversing its decision to shut services till 2:30 pm for the consecration ceremony of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
 
“In continuation with the circular dated January 20 of this office, all clinical services including outpatient services (OPD) shall remain open to prevent any inconvenience to them and to facilitate patient care," AIIMS, Delhi said in a new office memorandum issued today.
 
The hospital in its earlier memorandum notified that the institute will remain half-day closed till 14:30 hrs on January 22 as Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya will be celebrated across India.
 
All chiefs of Centres, Heads of Departments, Units and Branch Officers are requested to bring this to the notice of all staff working under them, it said.
 
However, since AlIMS New Delhi is on high alert for one month till 21 February, all critical clinical services shall remain functional, the hospital said.
