AIMPLB Shia Cleric Kalbe Sadiq who said Muslims should give Ram Temple to Hindus dies at 81

Lucknow:Renowned Shia cleric and vice chairman of All India Muslim Personal Law Board(AIMPLB) Maulana Kalbe Sadiq passed away here on Tuesday night after a prolonged illness. He was 81 years old.
Family members said that he breathed last at around 2200 hrs at Era medical college hospital where he was in ICU for the past couple of days.He was suffering from pneumonia and also experienced breathing problems.
 
He is survived by his widow, three sons and a daughter, the funeral of the cleric would be held here tomorrow.Maulana Sadiq was an eminent scholar and skillful orator on Islamic issues and had deliver sermons in several  countries. 
 
He did his PhD from Aligarh Muslim University(AMU) in Arabic and was a profound scholar in the language.Meanwhile , UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and other politicians have expressed condolences on the demise of Maukana Kalbe Sadiq.

New Delhi:Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday condoled the death of eminent Islamic Scholar Maulana Kalbe Sadiq.
 
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Modi posted, ''Passing away  of All India Muslim Personal Law Board's Deputy Chairman Maulana Kalbe Sadiq is saddening.
 
''His efforts towards communal harmony and brotherhood were noteworthy. My condolences to his family and well-wishers,'' the PM further said.
 
Sadiq passed away at a hospital in Lucknow on Tuesday. The 81-year-old was suffering from prolonged illness.(UNI)
