Amit Shah arrives on a mission 'Congress Mukth Karnataka'

Bengaluru: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Amit Shah arrived here today on a mission 'Congress Mukth Karnataka'. Responding to a rousing reception accorded to him on his maiden visit to the State after being elected to the Rajya Sabha recently, Mr Shah said that "My Mission is to see that Karnataka becomes free from Congress rule. 'Congress Mukth Karnataka' is BJP's Mission.

Mr Shah arrived on a three-day visit to the State and during his stay he will attend in more than 24 meetings including with party leaders and workers right from booth level, intellectuals, social media heads etc.

BJP State President and Lok Sabha member B S Yeddyurappa, Union Ministers H N Ananth Kumar, D V Sadananda Gowda, former Deputy Chief Minister R Ashok, Opposition Leaders in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council Jagadish Shettar and K S Eshwarappa were among those who welcomed Mr Shah at the Airport.

After a brief address at the Airport, Mr Shah drove to party office at Jaganath Bhavan where he will inaugurate a Library and address party workers. In the evening he will interact with intellectuals at a star hotel. His programme for tomorrow includes visit to Adi Chunchinagiri Matt and meet the Swamiji at Nelamangala and Sri Sri Ravishankar at Art of Living on Kanakapura near here. (UNI)
