Bhopal native "Pyare Miyan"accused of raping 6 minor girls arrested

Srinagar:Bhopal-based newspaper owner Pyare Miyan, who is accused of raping six minor girls in Madhya Pradesh, has been arrested from a hotel in this summer capital, official sources said here on Thursday.

They said that Miyan was wanted in Bhopal after five minor girls filed a complaint of rape against him. ''Following specific information, a police team left Bhopal for Delhi via train on Tuesday night. The team reached Srinagar from Delhi by a flight on Wednesday,'' they said. 

They said the team along with J&K Police arrested the accused from a hotel in Khanyar area. ''The police team will return to Bhopal on Thursday,'' they added.

A reward of Rs 30,000 was announced for any information leading to the arrest of the accused by a Special Investigative Team (SIT) formed to probe the case.(UNI)
