BJP claims to form govt in Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura

Shillong: BJP National General Secretary Ram Lal today exuded confidence that the saffron party will form the government in three poll-bound states - confidence of forming the government in the three poll-bound states of Northeast — Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura.

“We will put up a tough fight in all the three states and we are fighting to win and form The BJP leader who held several round of meetings with Meghalaya BJP leaders urged party workers must work hard to achieve the goals of the Prime Minister's development agenda and help restore peace in the region taking all into a single boat-- SabKa Saath Sabka Vikas. 

Unlike in Nagaland and Tripura where the BJP has forged a pre-poll alliance with the National Democratic Progressive Party and Indigenous Nationalist Party of Tripura, the BJP did not strike a pre-poll with the National People’s Party or the United Democratic Party, which are part of the BJP-led North East Democratic Alliance.The BJP which failed to win a single seat in the 2013 Meghalaya assembly elections is making all efforts to unseat the ruling Congress government headed by Mukul Sangma.(UNI)
