Bengaluru: Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara on Sunday that the police have identified the BMTC bus the Rameshwaram Cafe bomber traveled in.

"We have taken at least 40 to 50 CCTV cameras. There is information that the accused traveled by bus. About 26 buses have passed by at the time of the blast.

"We have scrutinised the footage of all 26 buses and found the bus he traveled in. He wore a cap, sunglasses and a mask. There is no clarity there also. We can't disclose all the technical details," he told reporters here.

Dr Parameshwar will hold a meeting with senior officials to deliberate upon the investigation of the blast.

He said 8 teams of the police have been formed and they are investigating various aspects and appealed to the opposition not to politicise the issue.

The Bengaluru police have so far not arrested anyone in the blast case. However, they released all those detained because the interrogation had not yielded anything from them.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar alleged that the BJP is doing politics and damaging the image of Bengaluru.

"What all has happened in Karnataka during their times, they should see the mirror. If they are hurting Karnataka, they are hurting the country and themselves," he said.

Despite the blast, customers are visiting the other branches of the Rameshwaram Cafe in the city. The cafe at Whitefield is set to resume operations on March 8, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Mahashivaratri.

The BJP Yuva Morcha held a silent protest outside the cafe on Saturday, the day after ten people were injured in a low-intensity blast.

In Hyderabad, AIMIM and Lok Sabha member President Asaduddin Owaisi visited the Rameshwaram Cafe on Saturday.

Taking to X, Owaisi posted photos and wrote, "Visited Hyderabad's Rameshwaram Cafe in solidarity. The food was lovely and it's very important to remember that the Cafe is named after APJ Abdul Kalam's birthplace. Rameshwaram Cafe blast is an act of cowardice and an attack on India's values."
