Body of missing CCD founder Siddartha found in Netravati river

Bengaluru:The body of Founder-Chairman of the country's largest chain of coffee shops, Cafe Coffee Day, VG Siddartha, who went missing on Monday night, was found floating on the shores of Netravati river near Mangluru at 0430 hrs on Wednesday.

According to Mangluru Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil, the body has been sent to Wenlock Hospital for post-mortem, while the family of the deceased has been informed.
 
Mr Patil said more than 200 personnel of the Indian Coast Guard, Indian Navy, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and expert divers conducted the search operation, to recover the body.
 
Besides, the Indian Air Force helicopters were also engaged in the search operation, which lasted for more than 36 hours, he added. Reports said the body was recovered around five km from Ullal, where Siddartha was last seen by his driver.(UNI)
