Ludhiana:Ludhiana (Rural) IPS SSP apprised that an FIR has been lodged in an incident of inscripting foul words on a shivling at Shivala Shri Seeta Ram at Jagraon.He stated at a press conference that the case was registered on Wednesday on the statement of a senior mahant.
Owing to the seriousness of the matter, personnel were immediately delegated responsibilities.
During investigation, while exploring the CCTV footage of the temple the accused was seen writing the bad words on Shivlinga who had been identified as one Gurbaksh Singh.
The accused has been arrested from the Railway Station, Jagraon and his clothes which he was wearing while committing the alleged offence and the instrument of writing have been recovered. Police remand of the accused will be taken and further investigation will be conducted.(UNI)
