New Delhi:A team of six CBI officials, including a woman officer, on Tuesday evening reached former Union Home MInister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram's residence in Delhi, the sources said here. However P Chidambaram was found missing.
The team was on the look out for the former minister who was denied anticipator bail earlier in the day by the Delhi High Court in the INX Media case. However, Mr. Chidambaram was not found at his residence.
A team of Enforcement Directorate also reached his residence close on the heels of the CBI team, the sources said.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday declined to grant urgent hearing at the end of the board to the plea mentioned by senior counsel Kapil Sibal appearing for ex-Union Minister P Chidambaram in the INX media FIPB case.
Later, the matter was mentioned for early listing before Registrar, Judicial who also turned down the plea.
Defence counsel further approached Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi in chambers who advised them to mention before the senior most judge on Wednesday. (UNI)
