Beijing:Unnerved by India's digital onslaught, China on Thursday objected to India's latest move of banning 118 mobile applications, terming the action as discriminatory."India is imposing discriminatory restrictions on Chinese companies and India's action violates relevant WTO rules", Commerce Ministry spokesperson Gao Feng said.
India had on Wednesday banned 118 Chinese mobile apps, including the popular PUBG, for being involved in activities prejudicial to country's sovereignty and security. Till now 224 Chinese apps have been banned. A total of 59 apps were banned on June 29 and 47 on July 28.

''We hope that the Indian side will work with the Chinese side to maintain hard-won bilateral cooperation and development so as to build an open and fair business environment for international investors and services providers including Chinese companies," he said and added that China-India economic and trade cooperation yields mutual benefits.(UNI)
