Mulki: Starting his poll speech with "Bajrang Bali ki Jai" roar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday targeted Sonia Gandhi and family by saying that the Congress is making efforts to come to power with an intention to make Karnataka No 1 ATM of their royal family sitting in Delhi.

"It is our endeavor that Karnataka becomes No.1 in industrial development, it is our endeavor that Karnataka becomes No.1 in agriculture development, it is our aim that Karnataka becomes No.1 in health and education. What does Congress want? Congress wants to make Karnataka the No.1 ATM of their 'Shahi Parivar' (Royal Sonia Gandhi and family) sitting in Delhi," he said while addressing a public rally in poll-bound Karnataka here.

On the contrary, BJP's resolve is to make Karnataka No.1 in the country by strengthening the modern infrastructure and making Karnataka a manufacturing superpower.

"Congress, on the other hand, is asking for votes in the name of retirement for undoing the development initiatives of the BJP," he said, indirectly targeting senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah who declared that this would be his last election.

Taking an indirect swipe at Ex-AICC President Rahul Gandhi for his London remarks against India, Modi said the whole world is admiring the development and democracy in India, but the reverse-gear Congress is defaming the country world over.

"The faith and acclamation from the whole wide world is not due to Modi, but due to your vote, which has ushered in a strong and stable government in Delhi," he said.

Modi said the whole politics of Congress is based on 'Divide and Rule' policy and Karnataka has been a witness to this dangerous face of Congress.

"If there prevails peace in society, Congress cannot sit with peace. If there is progress and development in the country, Congress cannot tolerate this ... the whole politics of Congress is based on 'Divide and Rule' Policy. Karnataka itself has been a witness to this dangerous face of Congress," he said.

The Congress party insults the Indian Army and Indian soldiers, Modi said, adding that the reverse-gear Congress is defaming the country by roaming around the world.

"The whole country respects our soldiers, respects them whereas Congress insults our army, insults our soldiers. Today, the whole world is giving respect to democracy and development in India, but the reverse-gear Congress is defaming the country by roaming around the world," he said.

Appealing to first-time voters, Modi said if they want to make their career, do the work of their mind, it will not be possible with the Congress.

"Those who are going to vote for the first time in their life are going to decide the future of Karnataka. My sons and daughters who are going to vote for the first time, if you want to make your career, do the work of your mind, then it will not be possible with the Congress. If there is instability in Karnataka, your fortune will also remain unstable," he said.

Modi further said that the Congress is the enemy of peace and development in Karnataka, as it saves the masters of terror and encourages appeasement politics.

Modi said Karnataka is strengthening the startup revolution of the country, and the young people coming from common families of Karnataka are now becoming the wealth and value creators.

Modi said India became the 5th largest economy in the world overtaking even the UK ruled India for over two centuries, and this could not have been possible without people's support.

"And, in order to reach 3rd place, I need your further help. To make India achieve this big feat of becoming the 3rd largest economy in the world, you need to vote for the BJP," he appealed. (UNI)
