New Delhi: A case has been filed at Kotla Mubarakpur Police Station on the basis of a complaint of Delhi Commission for Women(DCW) chief Swati Maliwal who was allegedly misbehaved against and dragged by man in a car near AIIMS Hospital, police said on Thursday.

The accused, identified as Harish Chandra (47), has been apprehended from Delhi's Sangam Vihar, said Police.

According to police, a PCR call was received early morning regarding misbehaviour and dragging incident with a woman near AIIMS hospital.

The Police patrol vehicle rushed to the spot where team saw a woman, identified as Delhi Commission for Women, chief, Swati Maliwal, on the pavement opposite AIIMS gate number 2.

Maliwal told the police and mentioned that a person driving a car stopped near her and asked her to sit in the car with bad intentions.

A senior police officer claimed, when she refused to sit in his car, man went forward but again came back after taking a U turn from the service lane. He once again asked her to sit in the car.
