Delhi BJP chief met family of Rinku Sharma who was stabbed to death

New Delhi:Accusing Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of being a pseudo-secular person, Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta on Friday question the former's silence over the brutal murder of a 25-year-old youth in city's Mangolpuri area.
"People of Delhi want to ask CM Kejriwal why are you silent after Rinku Sharma's murder. Your silence only proves that you just pretend to be secular," Mr Gupta lambasted on Twitter after meeting the victims family and providing them an assistance of Rs 5 lakh.
He further demanded a financial assistance of Rs 1 cr be given to the family and urged the authorities that the trial of the murder case be heard in a fast-track court.
 
The deceased youth, Rinku Sharma, who also worked as a BJP youth wing worker, was stabbed to death allegedly by four men after a scuffle in Delhi's Mangolpuri area on Wednesday.
 
The accused have been identified as Mohammad Danish (36), Mohammad Islam (45), Zahid (26) and Mohammad Mehtab (20), police said.As per police, the incident occurred post a brawl at a birthday party on Wednesday night.
 
'On Wednesday night, a scuffle broke out between the accused and the victim at a birthday party over their food business. Both sides went home, but the four accused went to the victim’s place later… Sharma and his brother were waiting outside.
 
'A heated argument led to a fight and one of the accused stabbed Sharma and fled," Additional DCP (Outer) Sudhanshu Dhama told media persons here.
 
He was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday. Sharma and Danish were neighbours and knew each other.The DCP said the incident occurred over business rivalry and categorically refuted all other allegations that gave a communal angle to the murder.(UNI)
