Nagpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Wednesday said we need to treat women with equality and empower them with freedom of making their own decisions.

Speaking at the annual Vijayadashmi event at the RSS Headquarters, Reshimbag here, Bhagwat said that strength is the basis of peace and we need to treat women with equality and empower them with freedom of making their own decisions as society without women can't prosper.

He also said that obstacles hinder our Sanatana Dharma are created by forces who are inimical to Bharat’s unity and progress .They spread fake narratives, encourage anarchy, engage in criminal acts, foment terror, conflict and social unrest. Though change is the rule of the nature , one should be firm on Sanatan Dharma.

The RSS chief further said India should have a population policy prepared after comprehensive thought and be applicable to all communities equally.

Pointing out that it is a myth that English is important for a career. The New Education Policy should lead to students becoming highly cultured, good human beings who are also inspired by patriotism, this is everyone’s desire and we need to support this actively.

Bhagwat also responded to the opposition's cry over unemployment and job creation and said, the government shouldn't alone be held responsible for jobs and employment. Society and people should also work for it.

Commenting on the allegations that there is a danger to minorities, Bhagwat said that such acts are not the nature of Sangh nor of Hindus. Sangh resolves to stand on the side of brotherhood, amity and peace.
