ED attaches assets worth Rs 4.62 cr of  Robert Vadra's company Skylyte

New Delhi:Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized Robert Vadra's asset worth Rs 4.62 crore in  Kolayat (Bikaner) land scam case, an official statement said here on Friday. 
The attached assets include movable assets amounting to Rs 18,59,500 pertaining to  four  individuals and one immovable property situated at Sukhdev Vihar, New Delhi to the extent of Rs 4,43,36,550 owned by  Robert Vadra's company Sky Light Hospitality (P) Ltd.  
  
The central financial probe agency move under Prevention of Money Laundering Act, comes after the registration of 18 FIRs  by the Rajasthan Police for the offence under section 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120B of IPC and subsequently filing the charge sheet in all 18 cases against accused Jai Prakash Bhargawa and 10 others in August 2015 and March 2017. 
 
"An ECIR was recorded by ED in September, 2015"a probe agency said here on Friday.
The probe agency investigation under PMLA has revealed that the Central Government had acquired land of as many as 34 villages in Bikaner District for the purpose of establishment of Mahajan Field Firing Range (MFFR). The Rajasthan Government proposed for rehabilitation of the displaced people by providing land equivalent to their acquired land. 
 
Fraudster Jai Prakash Bhargawa and others in collusion with State Government officials, got 1422 bigha government land illegally allotted to fictitious persons  which was meant for people displaced due to establishment of MFFR.According to ED, Jai Prakash and others illegally sold 1372 bigha out of this land to various persons and companies. 
 
In furtherance of sale and purchase these impugned fraudulent lands were further sold by subsequent purchasers to individuals, companies and all these subsequent sellers of the impugned land generated a considerable amount of profit.
 
These fraudulently generated profit by these entities is nothing but proceeds of crime as defined under PMLA, the probe agency officials said. 
 
 Robert Vadra's company Sky Light Hospitality (P) Ltd had purchased 275 bigha fraudulent land for Rs 72 lakhs and sold the same for Rs 5.15 crore to another company Allegeny Finlease (P) Ltd, thus, illegally generated profit of Rs 4.43 crore. Four other individuals had also generated profit of Rs 18.59 lakhs in sale of impugned fraudulent land.(UNI)
